I was released from my calling today. Sad for me, but happy for the new Relief Society Presidency. They will have such a fun ride! Goodbye big, thick, blue binder! I’ll miss you!

Friends till the end
I have a dear friend whom I have been friends with since I was 8. She truly is one of my closest friends. We can go weeks, months even without chatting and when we do catch up, it’s as if we haven’t missed a beat! Today, she just happened to be in the area and asked if I was up for a play date! Um, YES please! It has been years since seeing each other. It was so great seeing her and her cute kiddo’s. I just love her to pieces and am blessed to call her my friend! Love ya Kristen!

Dr. Wise assures me there is nothing wrong with my child, that he is just 3. Let’s hope this year passes quickly and I am blessed with an abundance amount of patients! I am going to need it!

Dentist
Today was Gabe’s first time visiting the dentist. He had been looking forward to this appointment for weeks! It was a success. He loved every second of it; from the x-rays all the way down to the fluoride. Ok. Maybe not the fluoride, but I will take what I can get!

Philip’s Lawn
Yes it is March. Yes, it is still cold out, yes the lawn is mostly brown and yes the lawn has barely grown. That didn’t stop Philip from going out tonight and mowing his precious lawn. He has been itching for weeks to mow it. Tonight was the night. It had been way to long (according to Philip) without seeing lines in his grass. He is happy for now.

Boys will be boys
Let me explain something about my dear hubby. He is extremely frugal. Extremely frugal. Tonight, we were over at my brother in law and sister in law’s house. The men bet him 20.00 if he drank 1/2 a jar of pepporchini juice, not drinking anything else for 1 minute. If there is money involved, of course he is on board. He was hurting pretty bad a few minutes and hours later, but he got his 20.00 and that is all he cared about. Silly boys.

Happy Birthday Mr. G!!!
I cannot believe it has been 3 years since I delivered this tiny bundle of all boy! If we are being honest, it really feels as if he should be 10 by now! This little kiddo (and when I say little, I mean it… all 28 pounds of him) has given me a run for my money. Oh my goodness, he challenges me every day of my life, but man do I love him so. He choose to go to Chuck E Cheese tonight for his birthday dinner. A bit scary taking Jane out, but we managed and survived! His best buddy, Caleb even joined in the festivities! They had a blast. After dinner and games, it was back to our house for cake, ice cream and presents! All in all, a great birthday celebration. Happy birthday Gabe. I love you to the moon and back! Muah!!! xoxo

Happy St Patrick’s Day
Look what a little leprechaun left the kiddo’s at breakfast this morning! A tiny little jar of magic dust ( Carter is holding it in the picture) that turns all their food green! It made them have good luck the rest of the day! Oh how I love holidays!

Center Stage props
McKay is in Center Stage Youth Performers and this year they are putting on the play “Beauty and the Beast”. As parents, we have to volunteer our time. I have always helped with props. This year the props haven’t been to bad, actually. Gabe and I had fun one afternoon creating flowers in baskets. Hope they hold up for an entire week of performing!

McKay and Carter are already showing Jane the ropes when it comes to Lego’s. One can never start too early, right? She will fit in perfectly!

Chloe and Gabe
I have amazing nieces and nephews who love to play with my kids. Here is Chloe and Gabe listening to some tunes! Thanks Chloe for helping save my sanity! I owe ya one!
Brittany
Our kidlets have been begging us for a dog. I absolutely say NO WAY! But, Philip’s co-worker has a Great Dane, Brittany and lets us borrow her when we want! Today, the kiddo’s wanted to take her for a walk. We called her up and Brittany was free to come over for a play date! She really is as huge as a horse, but is as gentle as a cat! We just loved her! That is my kind of dog. Spoil her for a few hours and then give her back! It’s a win- win!

Hero report and Wax museum
Every year the entire 5th grade does a Wax museum. Each child is to choose a “hero” and write a report, give an oral presentation and be apart of the Wax Museum where they have to be “wax” for an hour while everyone comes in and views them! Talk about nerves! McKay choose Irving Berlin who composed a lot of music for Broadway plays. Today was his oral presentation and he did an amazing job! I am so proud of him and all he is achieving! All A’s and B’s! Go McKay! Love ya buddy!!!

Granola Bars
McKay has been begging me to make him homemade granola bars for days. I finally found a recipe and decided to give it a try. Gabe was great help (insert sarcasm). The end result, success!!!

Sandifer’s Syndrome
Jane had a doctors appointment with a neurologist up at Primary Children’s Medical Center. She has what is called Sandifers Syndrome which doesn’t mean a whole lot other that she goes into these episodes when she is so uncomfortable due to her acid reflux. Her primary care doc thought there may be a neurological issue going on which is why we went. Everything is fine and her “syndrome” will go away when the little flap at the bottom of her esophagus is more mature and keeps the acid where it should be. I am grateful for doctors and for Primary Children’s, but I never want to see them again!

Service
Today was a mommy pay day. We moms get those every once in a while. After getting Gabe dressed for church, I came around the corner and saw this…..
Melted my heart. They do really love each other after all!

Not what I expected
This morning I woke up and was so excited to get things accomplished. But, Gabe and Jane had other plans. To ensure I kept my sanity, this is what the kiddo’s ended up doing all day. I know, mother of the year, right? Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do,right. Today was one of those days. And to be quiet honest, I kinda liked it!

Mail can be a wonderful thing. It can also be a big pain! Today, it was a huge pain! As I was talking with my sis this morning, she mentioned to me that she still has not recieved Jane's birth announcement. I mailed them 2 weeks ago. My mom recieved hers, and a few of my friends recieved their's. I started thinking that I had written her address down wrong, but when I found out my cousin also hadn't recieved her's, I knew it wasn't me- it had to be the wonderful USPS. Awesome. I wonder how many other announcements are lost in the mail. Hmpf. To some it up in pictures, this is how I feel about the whole situation.

Here goes nothin'!
This winter has been very mild and I love it! Yesterday was no exception. It was a beautiful 50 degrees outside, sun shining with not a cloud in the sky. Gabe and I took full advantage of that fact and blew bubbles! He had a blast trying to catch and pop them! Now, you will notice he is still in his pajamas at 2:00 in the afternoon. I normally have my kiddo's dressed with hair done before breakfast. Today, there was an exception. Let me explain why. Jane has been sick. When I say sick, I mean really, really sick. She was diagnosed with RSV, Bronchiolitis and an ear infection. 2 ER visits, 5 doctor visits and 4 trips to respitory therapy, she is finally feeling a bit better. But, were still not out of the woods yet. Hence, the reason behind pajamas at 2:00. It has been that kind of week, make that 2 weeks. I am grateful for the beautiful weather we had yesterday. It was just what I needed- especially after being stuck inside for the past 2 weeks! It gave me a little taste of what I have to look forward to....SUMMER!!!
